The Basic Concept behind WOW
|
The key to this application is every player in the group is playing against
all the other players in the group.
Assume your 4-some agrees Birdies are worth $1.00.
If Player 1 gets a Birdie, he/she would receive 1 "dot" on their scorecard.
(Each "dot" being worth $1.00)
Entering this into WOW, the application would solve this with the
following:
WOW?
Player 2 owes Player 1: $1.00
Player 3 owes Player 1: $1.00
Player 4 owes Player 1: $1.00
Win/Loss
Player 1 WON $3.00
Player 2 LOST $1.00
Player 3 LOST $1.00
Player 4 LOST $1.00
Assume Player 1 AND Player 2 had birdies and therefore each recieved 1
"dot"
Entering this into WOW, the application would solve this with the
following:
WOW?
Player 4 owes Player 1: $2.00
Player 3 owes Player 2: $2.00
Win/Loss
Player 1 WON $2.00
Player 2 WON $2.00
Player 3 LOST $2.00
Player 4 LOST $2.00
In this simple scenario, Player 1 and Player 2 should owe each other $1,
but the WOW application takes this into account and redistributes the
payout in the most efficient manner.
You may also notice Player 4 never pays Player 2 and Player 3 never
pays Player 1, even though they are both winners. Again, this logic is
built into the WOW application to make it as easy as possible for
everyone to get paid.
No more confusion! No more arguments!
This same philosophy applies to as many players and as many games as
you want to play during your round of golf.
